We’re a local, non-profit pharmacy serving our neighbors in Union, Anson, Stanly, Lancaster, and Chesterfield Counties. We provide free prescription medications to our neighbors in need. Our goal is simple: to make sure no one in our community goes without the medications they need to stay healthy.

HealthQuest was founded in 1999 through a partnership with Carolinas Medical Center–Union. Local pharmacists and dedicated community leaders came together to meet a growing and urgent need: a free pharmacy in Union County for people who couldn’t afford their medications. At the time, the number of residents going without essential prescri
HealthQuest was founded in 1999 through a partnership with Carolinas Medical Center–Union. Local pharmacists and dedicated community leaders came together to meet a growing and urgent need: a free pharmacy in Union County for people who couldn’t afford their medications. At the time, the number of residents going without essential prescriptions—especially for chronic conditions—was leading to preventable emergency room visits and hospital stays. The impact on individuals and families was staggering.
HealthQuest was created to change that—and we’ve been here for our neighbors ever since.
